Parkway Soccer Wraps Up Season With a Party
November 5, 2008
Tony Saroufim and his family restaurant, The Sabra in Newton Centre, hosted the Parkway Youth Soccer wrap up dinner last night. For a number of years, Tony Saroufim has not only organized and dedicated his time to Parkway soccer, he has planned and hosted this dinner, sent out invitations and collected the replies, over 100 of them. This delicious Middle Eastern dinner was served family style. And this was truly a family event, with parents, volunteers, sponsors and coaches that have been involved with this league for twenty-five years. There are over 1000 soccer players and 70 teams that need to be managed each season. Tony has surrounded himself with great support and in listening to him speak you could feel his passion for this sport and Parkway Youth Soccer. Also in attendance were, The Honorable Thomas M. Menino, Police Commission Ed Davis, District Attorney, Daniel Conley and City Councilor- at -Large, Michael Flaherty.
If you have ever dreamt of owning a sports team, while maybe not owning a team but becoming a sponsor, send Tony an email at tony.saroufim@verizon.net It’s really not that expensive and it’s fun to see your name or the name of your business on a young soccer players shirt at Millennium Park.
