Parkway Little League Baseball Fall Registration and Major League Tryout Information for the 2011 Spring Season

Parkway Little League will hold its first registration for the 2011 season in person on Sunday, September 12th from 9:00AM-11:00AM and on Monday September 13th from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Guy Cammarata Complex 315 Baker St. West Roxbury, MA
Parkway Little League offers baseball to boys and girls living in Roslindale and West Roxbury in the following leagues and age groups: T-Ball (5-6 year old), Instructional Baseball (7-8 year old), Minor League Baseball (9-12 year old) and Major League Baseball (9-12 year old). Ages refer to child’s age as of April 30, 2011
If you are new to the league, have moved since last season, or if you child has a waiver, you must register in person and bring the following items to registration:
- Your child’s birth certificate, two proofs of residency (utility bill, driver’s license, etc. which will be checked by registration staff and returned to you), and a check or money order payable to Parkway Little League.

Parkway United 2010-2011 Tryouts for U9-U14 Age Groups

Tryouts for 2010-2011 Parkway United Travel Soccer teams playing during the fall BAYS season will be held according to the following schedule:
Wednesday May 26th (Rain Date Wednesday June 2)
- U9 Boys and Girls 4:00-5:30 pm (Born After July 31, 2001)
- U10 Boys and Girls 5:30-7:00 pm (Born After July 31, 2000)
Thursday May 27th (Rain Date Thursday June 3)
- U11 Boys and Girls 4:00 – 5:30 pm (Born after July 31, 1999)
- U12 Boys and Girls 5:30 – 7:00 pm (Born after July 31, 1998)
Tuesday June 1st (Rain Date Tuesday June 8th)
- U14 Boys and Girls 5:30 – 7:00 pm (Born after July 31, 1996)

Parkway Youth Wrestling Taking Registrations

Parkway Youth Wrestling is now accepting registrations for the 2009-2010 season at www.parkwaywrestling.org. The club is open to grades 3-8 and focuses on teaching the fundamentals of the sport. Practices are Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7:30pm in West Roxbury from December through February. Spots are limited, so register today!

If you did, but still wish to try out for the Majors on 9/19 & 9/20 you can stop by the Clubhouse at the complex on Tuesday 9/15 & Wednesday 9/16 from 6:30 PM-8:00 and remember to bring a birth certificate and 2 forms of proof of residence.
DUE TO RAIN – Tryouts for the 2010 Season will now be Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th, times are listed below for both days:
12 year old children 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
11 year old children 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
10 year old children 11:30 – 12:30 p.m.
9 year old children 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Please note that every child age 9-12 who did not play in the Majors division last season should attend tryouts.
Players are not eligible for the Majors Division if they do not attend at least 1 day of tryouts.
If you have a prior commitment please be sure to inform the coaches.

West Roxbury Youth Invited to Compete in Tobin-Connolly Summer Games

West Roxbury youths between the ages of 6 and 13 are invited to compete in the first ever Tobin-Connolly Summer Games on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Catholic Memorial High School, 235 Baker Street in West Roxbury starting at 10:00 a.m.
The free event is being sponsored by District 6 City Councillor John M. Tobin, Jr. and At-Large City Councillor John Connolly. The games will include races, a free throw basketball shooting contest, and a longest football punt, pass, and kick competition. Participants will be separated into appropriate age divisions for each event. The games will be followed by a barbeque picnic and awards ceremony from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Parkway Youth Hockey Registration

For this season, all Parkway Youth Hockey players are required to register directly with USA Hockey (cost is $35 per child) for the current USA Hockey calendar year. Please visit the USA Hockey tab on the website for instructions on the registration process:
If you already have registered your child with USA Hockey for another program, you still need to enter your child’s USA Hockey number into our system.
All Travel Team members must complete their registration by July 31, 2009 to ensure that all players and coaches have proper USA Hockey registration and insurance.
Registration for Parkway Flag Football Cheerleading

Registration for Parkway Flag Football Cheerleading will be held on Thursday July 9th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Little League Complex. Child must be 5 years or older by August 31, 8009.
Registration fee is $25 plus the cost of the cheerleading uniform. Uniforms will be ordered at the time of registration to ensure they arrive before the season begins.
Practices will begin mid-August.
