No Job? No Problem! Pink Slip Party at Game On! Fenway

On Thursday Dec 18th at 6pm, “The Pink Slip Party at Game On! Fenway” pays homage to gainful unemployment and extols the virtues of life on the dole. While the focus of the evening is fun, the event also provides “out-of-workers” the opportunity to kick back and relax while networking with a bevy of area staffing agencies and job recruiters looking to fill much-needed positions, including West Roxbury’s Atlantic Associates, Inc. In addition to schmoozing, Jobless Joes feeling the economic crunch can take out their aggression during Slugging CEO Batting Practice by taking swings in Fenway Park’s visiting team’s batting cages (to which Game On! has exclusive access) or showcase their resolve with a few whacks at the Professional Piñata. A Video DJ will spin pink-slip themed songs and play video clips from pop culture’s big and small screen job-strife classics including Office Space and The Office.After working up a sweat and fueling their appetites, job seekers can mix and mingle while munching on $4 items from Game On! Fenway’s Easy-On-The-Pocket appetizer menu that includes Lay-Off My Nachos, Pay-Raise Potstickers, Workin Wings and 401 K-alamari. Delicious bites will be washed down with inexpensive specialty drinks including Jobless Juice and Under Pressure Punch.
As they walk in the door, party goers will be handed funny money to be used in raffles for cool prizes including Game On! Fenway gift certificates. Be sure to say hi to the folks at AAI.
