Car Flip On VFW Parkway Causes Slowdown for Morning Commute
January 27, 2009
I apologize for the picture. I only had my phone with me this morning.
As I was driving down VFW Parkway in West Roxbury this morning at around 8:15 by the skating rink, I came upon this accident scene. It appeared a mini van and a smaller car were in a bit of a fender bender that took a turn for the worse.
The smaller vehicle completely flipped over and was lying on its roof. There is a good chance the snow piles on the side of the road were the cause of the turn-over.
The two men in this photo appear to be the occupants of the turned over vehicle. None of the people involved were talking to anyone in the flipped car so my guess is all of the passengers escaped safely.
Boston and State Police shut down the Parkway from the traffic lights at the skating to the spring street intersection on that side of the street.
